How to use Blop?
Step 1: Unbox the magic
Pop Blop out of the box and peel off that white sticker.
Step 2: Seal, be gone!
Unscrew the lid and remove the seal. Stuck? Use the tool. Touched the blue gel? Check our FAQs below for cleanup tips.
Step 3: Twist it tight!
Screw the lid back on and line up the outlets like a pro.
Step 4: Blop it in
Drop your Blop upright into the toilet cistern, but keep it far from the water outlet.
Step 5: Keep it handy
Let the string dangle outside the cistern so you can easily grab it when it’s time for a swap.
How long does Blop last?
Blop lasts 900+ flushes—way longer than most toilet cleaners. That’s about 3 months in a typical home, but it depends on how many people live there and how often you flush.

How do I know when it’s time to replace my Blop?
If the water in your toilet bowl turns clear and you no longer see foamy bubbles when flushing — it might be time for a new Blop.
But wait! Here's a handy tip before you toss it:
💡 Flushing often?In the early days, light colour can just mean the gel hasn’t had time to dissolve — no stress, it’ll catch up.
👉 Near the end of your Blop’s life?It’s worth a quick check — just need to lift the tank lid, gently pull the Blop string:
• Blue gel comes out? Keep using it.
• No gel? Time for a new one.
Is Blop easy to place in your loo?
Yes! Simply drop Blop into your toilet cistern. No tools or complicated instructions required.
Please place Blop upright in your toilet cistern. If Blop is tilted or upside down in the tank, it could shorten its usage time.

Oops! Got blue gel on your hands?
No biggie—grab some toothpaste (yep, toothpaste!) and scrub the spot without adding water. Keep at it until the blue disappears, then rinse it off. If you’ve got a lot of gel, just rinse and repeat. Easy peasy!
There are blue stains on my toilet rim or lid after using Blop – what should I do?
Blop’s signature blue gel is designed to give your toilet a visibly clean flush every time. However, due to differences in toilet materials and surface finishes, and some toilet designs can cause splashes to reach the underside of the seat. If you notice blue marks on the seat, we’ve found that a small amount of cream cleanser (e.g. Jif Cream Cleaner) works well to remove any staining.
Here’s what works best 👇
1. Apply a little cream cleanser on a soft cloth, spread it over the blue mark, and leave it for 3–5 minutes.
2.Then rub firmly in circular motions until the stain disappears, rinse with clean water, and wipe dry.
3. If a faint mark remains, just repeat once more — it’ll be gone!
Always spot-test on your toilet seat first and follow the product’s instructions.

Yes! Blop’s plastic casing that holds the cleaning gel is recyclable. By recycling Blop's case, you’re helping to reduce waste and do your bit for the planet.
Does Blop tackle germs like a pro?
Absolutely! Blop gets to work with every flush, keeping your loo fresh, clean, and ready for action. Germs don’t stand a chance!
Is Blop safe to use with septic systems or bio-cycle tanks (like Ozziklean)?
Yes — Blop is generally safe for most septic systems. It doesn’t contain harsh bleach or corrosive acids. Instead, it uses a gentle blend of coconut oils and cleaning agents that naturally become alkaline after each flush. That said, here’s what you should know:
• For standard septic systems: Blop’s ingredients are not antibacterial, so they won’t disrupt the natural bacteria needed to break down waste.
• For bio-cycle systems (like Ozziklean): These systems tend to be more sensitive and rely heavily on healthy bacteria. While Blop is designed to be gentle, we always recommend double-checking with your system provider — especially if your tank is older or has specific maintenance requirements.
• For greywater systems: If your toilet is connected to a water recycling or greywater setup, it’s best to confirm if any fragranced or coloured cleaners (like Blop) are allowed.
In short? We’ve got a lot of happy Bloppers using it with septic setups, but because every system is a little different, it’s worth getting the green light from your supplier if you’re unsure.

What are the main ingredients of Blop?
Ethoxylated Alcohols, Sulfonic Acids (sodium salts), CI 42090 ( colourant), Fragrance, Ethoxylated Sorbitan, Monostearate, Sorbitan Triolate, Polyquart®149, Chloroxylenol, Phenoxyethanol, Propylparaben.
Is it dangerous if my pet drinks toilet water that’s been Blopped?
Blop’s formulas are tough on grime, they’re not meant to be Fido’s new sports drink. Keep the lid down (or bathroom door shut) so curious critters can’t sip the blue stuff. If your furry friend does sneak a gulp:
1. Swap the bowl—give them fresh, clean drinking water.
2. Watch for tummy troubles (drooling, vomiting, odd behaviour).
3. When in doubt, ring your vet and mention they may have sampled a toilet-cleaning gel.
Bottom line: Blop’s low-tox, but your pets’ water of choice should come from a bowl on the floor, not the porcelain throne. Keep it safe, keep it sealed.
Safety First with Blop! How?
While Blop packs a punch in keeping your throne sparkling clean, it's formulated to be safe for your pipes. However, remember to handle it carefully:
CAUTION: This product is powerful and can cause serious eye irritation. Avoid direct contact with eyes and skin.
In case of contact with eyes: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do, then continue rinsing. If irritation persists, get medical attention.

American Express (Amex): Some Amex cards may still have issues with recurring payments due to their internal security settings. If a payment fails, contacting Amex to enable “reference transactions” may help. For smoother subscription setup, Visa or Mastercard are usually more reliable.
